Speakerpeople are set to release their debut album, Parallel World, on 1st February 2010. The album includes their forthcoming debut single Close Your Eyes which is due for release on 18th January. Both are released on Deep Recordings.
Speakerpeople make soulful house music, and is a project born out of sessions over the past year at Deep Recording studio’s in London.
The tracks work together seamlessly. Slower more soulful Nothing and the funkier Through The Sky to the more uptempo house music of the title track Parallel WorldClose Your Eyes and ; and a personal favouirte, Tomorrow as it errs towards a house-flavoured trance.
The album is a strong debut consisting of seven original tracks and bonus remixes of four of the album tracks, Fall From Grace, Parallel World, the forthcoming single Close Your Eyes and and deep dub mix of Tomorrow.
The Speakerpeople project consists of Andy Peterson, Simon Newman and soul vocalist Julian Asher Dean. The project has been able to develop via Andy & Simon’s development deal as a stand alone production / remix team with the Deep Recording company. Julian has been contributing his unique soulful vocals as the third member of the Speakerpeople project.
Andy Peterson & Simon Newman have been working together for over ten years on various projects and released material on Tag Recordings, House of 909 and their own Workhouse label.
Speakerpeople have recently made DJ appearances with Flux Recordings at Madame Jo Jo’s and will no doubt be heard at a club near you.
Parallel World by Speakerpeople is a great start to a new year.
