Silicone Soul play a 4 hour DJ set at Redlight ‘s XXX party on May 29th

One of London’s best afterhours clubs, Redlight, returns this May to once again embark on its weekly journey through all things house and techno.

May 1st  – Deepgroove (4 hr set), Mazzy Supastar + Special Guest

For the first bank holiday of the month Redlight welcomes Deepgroove’s Grayson Shipley and Lee Pattison. Promoters of Bristol’s long-running house and techno night, Play, and recent signings to label-of-the-moment, Rekids, the duo are gearing up for a slamming 4 hour set at Redlight. With support from Mazzy Superstar and one very special guest who’ll be revealed on the night.

May 8th – Kanio, Anthea (freak’n’chic /phonica ), Joe le Groove

On May 8th, Kanio makes his debut performance at Redlight alongside Anthea (freak’n’chic /phonica), who has been making serious waves of late, not least for her impressive set at Fabric back in April but also for her increasingly slick productions. Her bassline driven blend of deep-house and techno never fails to impress. Joe le Groove joins both in support.

May 15th – Giles Smith (secretsundaze), Severino (Horsemeat Disco), Timo Garcia

On May 15th, Giles Smith will be taking an early breather from his busy summer of secretsundaze appearances to join us for a more intimate gig at Redlight. A popular figure on the east-London party scene, Giles has been rocking London dancefloors since the early noughties as resident at Faith, secretsundaze and his own night, Basic Needs. Giles will be joined by Horsemeat Disco’s beloved resident Severino and Berwick Street Records’ Timo Garcia, celebrating the release of his debut album ‘Wonderlust Bug’.

May 22nd – Simon morel (DDD), Kamishake, Laura Heath

Winding up for the bank holiday weekend on May 22nd we welcome back DDD head-honcho and Redlight favourite Simon Morell. Simon’s infamous DDD parties never fail to pull in a mass of beat-hungry punters from all four corners of the capital and beyond; and with a flawless ear for cutting-edge house sounds, he’s also a formidable DJ force in his own right. London based house producer Kamishake, famed for his classic remix of Kelis’ Milkshake, will also be stepping up to the decks alongside rising star Laura Heath.

May 29th XXX – Silicone Soul Album Launch (4 hr set), Carlos Francisco

Wrapping up the month nicely, Redlight ‘s monthly XXX party on May 29th welcomes Glasgow’s finest dj and production duo to the decks for a very special 4 hour set. Soma’s Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie, who make up the formidable duo that is Silicone Soul, were releasing their groove-laden underground house music back when fellow Glaswegian producer Milton Jackson was but a twinkle in his parent’s eye.

Residents at Belgian clubbing institution, Cafe d’Anvers and Pressure in Glasgow, their hotly tipped, eponymous 4th studio album, is due for release on Soma in June. Already receiving props from the likes of Joris Voorn, Laurent Garnier, James Lavelle and Ben Watt, this album launch party marks their long-anticipated return to London and the start of their forthcoming UK summer tour. Support on the night comes from Carlos Francisco.

As ever, The Aquarium in Old Street plays host to London’s finest afterhours party. Its fully-charged Turbo rig in the mainroom, large chillout area with Jacuzzi and swimming pool and Aircon throughout makes it the ideal afterhours space. Redlight is every week from 2.00am – 10.00am…so be prepared as going home just ain’t no fun!
