Loose club night returns on 3rd October 2009 with resident DJs plus special guest Geoffroy Mugwump.

Aitch (Moustache Mamas / Loose)

Loose returns to East London after a well deserved summer break which saw the resident DJ team appear in basements, lofts and clubs all over east London with friends including Electric Minds, East Village and Another Fine Mess.

In the recent past Loose embraced the nu-disco and edit scene and brought names like Ilija Rudman, Popular People’s Front, Peter Visti and Aeroplane to London. Now the team are introducing a futuristic disco ethic with a deeper house sound that is beginning to infiltrate many a Dalston dance floor.

Expect some groove induced techno-disco, low slung house, spacey edits and reworks.

Geoffroy Mugwump has been big on the European house and disco scene for a few years now, holding a residency at Belgian club Fuse and producing (with production partner Kolombo) a reworked house sound that only a small elite of future thinking artists are achieving. Think Tensnake, Sound Stream, Mark E and The Revenge and you will be on the right track.

Amazing tracks such as Boutade on Misericord and Fears Inc on Kompakt have really shown the way forward and with Cocoon picking up this talent with the recent Mindflexes release we can be sure of a certain style and groove at Loose that is not really being done elsewhere.

It’s disco but not as you know it.
