Future Disco - a Guide to 21st Century
A new wave of disco music has been ‘happening’ in clubs all over the UK for sometime, and now Future Disco – a Guide to 21st Century – the first compilation of this ‘new disco‘ is about to showcase the most vital tunes around including tracks from Hercules & Love Affair, Friendly Fires, Greg Wilson & Crazy P, among others.
If the tracks on Future Disco sound familar then it maybe they lean heavily on old skool disco sounds and artists such as Imagination and Chic, but with an entirely contemporary new disco vibe.
Compiled and mixed by Sean Brosnan for release on the Azuli record label it seems this new wave disco has come at a time of rising unemployment and uncertainty, similar to the original disco scene of the 1970’s. Maybe the decadence & glamoour of disco music & fashion is a remedy for escapism.
As well as selecting some of the most popular artists associated with the new disco genre, Sean Brosnan has included artists tipped for greater things in 2009. The likes of Aeroplane, Holy Ghost and Runaway are featured alongside new disco remixes of the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Chaz Jankel & Motorcycle Boy.
With contributions from stellar labels like Eskimo, Tirk, DFA, Rekids and Full Pupp, Future Disco is going to be essential listening for all new disco ‘glitter-ball‘ heads out there.

Although the tracks of Low motion disco is probably well-intentioned, it\’s actually quite dangerously misleading. Always ask for tracks (i.e. Make up the new disco genre how much loss you can afford before you make contact and not afterward.
