After a brief hiatus involving a move to Amsterdam, Josh Gabriel’s Different Pieces label is back with more innovative electronic dance music with their latest offering DP007, a very special collaboration between Dave Seaman and Josh Gabriel called Heyaah.
Seaman and Gabriel have enjoyed over 25 years combined, in the music industry and clearly have their fingers on the pulse with this excellent track that threatens to become one of this years club anthems.
The pair of producers invoke what feels like a primitive spirit with its haunting chant throughout the excellent production. The tribal essence is topped with a flamenco twist, as spiralling chants, soaring breakdowns and chiming lead lines battle for supremacy as Heyaah reaches anthem proportions.
The re-mix by Texan Francis Preve adds further depth to the original with heavier pulsing beats and a beautiful wash of effects with stirring exotic emotions throughout.
