One copy of the debut album from electronica duo, Blacksand called Barn entitles the holder to a personal performance by Blacksand in their front room.
Blacksand is Nick Franglen and Charles Casey. Nick Franglen is one half of Lemon Jelly, and has produced albums by John Cale and Badly Drawn Boy amongst others. Charles Casey is one half of Akasha and collaborator with Neneh Cherry and David Axelrod.
The album is nothing like Casey or Franglen’s other projects. This is electronica experimental ambience using loops, layered guitars and spacey sounds.
Boomkat write, “… dark, beautiful, improvised electronica that inhabits a space in-between music & soundscape. an absorbing debut that will undoubtedly appeal to fans of xela, machinefabriek, ktl, robin guthrie or stars of the lid. highly recommended.”
